Sunset on the Cliff

Music flowed from the earphones,

Forming a symphony with the waves,

As the wind conducted the orchestra,

Of stairways to heaven, Of coming back to life,

Of counting lost stars, Of spacebound rocketships.

Watching the sun bid farewell to the sky,

Slipping into the warm embrace of the sea.

On the horizon,

She opened her arms, welcoming him.

A hundred feet below,

She caressed the darkening sand.
