Memento is a neo-noir psychological thriller film which follows Leonard Shelby, who suffers from anterograde amnesia(inability to form new memories), and is on the hunt for his wife’s killers.
The beauty of the film lies in its screenplay,which received an Academy Award nomination .The film progresses in two different interspersed sequences- a black-and-white sequence which moves chronologically, and a colour sequence progressing in reverse order.Both sequences merge at the end of the film to produce one cohesive storyline.
The ending of the film is the subject of widespread debate and speculation even today, 15 years after its release.
