Annie Hall is a romantic comedy film which follows a cynical and neurotic comedian Alvy Singer as he tries to find the reasons behind the failure of his relationship with Annie Hall, the quirky and eccentric female lead.

The film featured unconventional and wonderfully executed cinematographic techniques, such as actors directly addressing the audience by talking to the camera, and subtitles voicing the real on-goings in the characters’ minds as they spoke with each other.

The movie explores the themes of love, psychology and modernism, and is widely regarded as one of the greatest comedies of all time.It is one of Woody Allen’s most popular films, and won four Oscars, including Best Director,Best Picture,Best Original Screenplay, and Best Actress for Diane Keaton.
